 On April 22, 1979,
Rev. Jeffery Kinnery accepted the divine call to be Pastor of St. Paul.
During his nineteen months as Pastor, the congregation went through some
trying times which resulted in strong division and eventually a split in
the congregation. Probably most of the people involved today would agree
that they can identify some of God's blessings which He worked through
such struggles. We can also rejoice in the healing which he performed
through His Word and Sacraments in the years which followed. During the vacancy after Pastor Kinnery, Rev. Carl Schlutz served until July of 1982. Rev. Daniel J. Brege, a recent graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, was installed as Pastor of St. Paul on July 11, 1982.
